FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For laser retinal coagulation (LKS) with proliferative diabetic retinopathy perform panretinal pattern LKS for two sessions. During the first session matrix patterns 3×3 with a coagulation distance equal to two coagulate diameters, the power is 200 to 500 mW, exposure – 20–30 ms, LKS is performed in all segments of the middle periphery of the retina. Second session is carried out after 1.5–2 months by matrix patterns 2×2 with the same values of the distance between coagulants, power and exposure, wherein each matrix pattern is positioned such that the coagulates are located in the center of the retina free space between the coagulates in the patterns applied during the first session.
EFFECT: method reduces energy load on the retina and the choroid, excludes postcoagulable complications, stabilizes the pathological process with regression of the retinal neovascularization.
