FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Periphery of the vitreous body is removed above the ora serrata, the remaining height of the vitreous body being 100-200 mcm. Then coagulates are applied in 4-5 rows of length 360 degrees, in projection of ora serrata, distance between coagulates in one row should be equal to one diameter of coagulate. Diameter of all coagulates should be the same and range from 250 to 500 mcm, wherein the first row of coagulates is applied to the periphery from the ora serrata, and remaining 3-4 rows are more central to the ora serrata with a total number of coagulates of 600-800 pieces, with laser coagulation parameters: power 100-200 mW, exposure 100-200 ms.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of developing pathological neovascularisation of the anterior segment of the eye (secondary neovascular glaucoma).
