FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the technical field of liquid purification, namely to the possibility of natural or tap water cleaning of hardness salts, which leads to water softening, in addition, the invention is aimed at further purification from the harmful and insoluble impurities, such as heavy metals, suspended particles and others. Carbonate hardness of water reduction method, which includes the water treatment by constant electric current with the calcium and magnesium carbonates precipitation in the cathode space, removed by periodic washing into the drain, and simultaneous calcium and magnesium ions transportation under influence of the electric field from the anode to the cathode space and the filtered water acidification in the anode space, in which the cathode and anode space are separated by the porous partition, made of a microporous material produced by the resorcinol with formaldehyde cell casting. Also described is the carbonate hardness of water reduction device.

EFFECT: technical result: disclosed is the carbonate hardness of water reduction method, which allows to purify the natural or tap water in the filtering device.
