FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for increasing the stability of an antibacterial injectable pharmaceutical composition based on azithromycin. Method of the invention is characterized by the administration in an effective amount of lidocaine or novocaine to a medicament containing azithromycin, preserving agents from the series: benzyl alcohol, or chloroethanol, or parabens, acidity regulators (pH) from the series: citric acid, or benzoic acid, or tartaric acid, organic co-solvents from the series: propylene glycol, or transcutol, or 2-pyrrolidone, or dimethylsulfoxide, or dimethylacetamide or N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and water for injection in the amounts indicated in the claims. Invention can be used in the field of veterinary medicine.
EFFECT: technical result is a high physicochemical stability (not less than 24 months) of the liquid dosage form.
