FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to pharmacology. Composition for treatment of bacterial infections in animals contains florfenicol, benzyl alcohol, water, organic solvent, polyvinylpyrrolidone and solubiliser, with the following component ratio, wt %: florfenicol - 5-35, solubiliser - 5-15, organic solvent - 15-40, benzyl alcohol - 1-2, polyvinylpyrrolidone - 0.1-10, water - the remaining part. As solubiliser solutol HS15 or cremophor, or twin 80 can be used, as organic solvent dimethylacetamide or 2-pyrrolidone or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone can be used. Additionally composition can contain flunixin in amount 1-3%. In claimed composition formed is complex compound of florfenicol and polyvinylpyrrolidone, representing supramolecular complex in which between molecules of florfenicol and PVP multiple hydrogen bonds are formed. Composition represents microcolloidal system, stable in definite range of solubiliser and co-solvent concentration.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of composition toxicity degree, reduction of inflaqmmation process in zone of composition introduction and increase of bioavailability.
