SUBSTANCE: network node (10) for electrical network (19), in particular a transformer substation or a local distribution substation, comprises: adjusting transformer (11) with a primary side and a secondary side; supply line (12), which is connected to the primary side; spill line (13) that is connected to the secondary side; protective switch (14), which is located in supply line (12) or spill line (13); sensor (15) that can record the electrical parameter in supply line (12) and/or spill line (13) and generate a measurement signal; control device (16) which is connected to adjusting transformer (11), protective switch (14) and sensor (15) and is configured such that it can control the adjusting transformer (11) depending on the measurement signal in such a way that it has a predetermined transformation ratio; it can control protective switch (14) depending on the measurement signal in such a way that it opens, and the control-related opening of protective switch (14) is effected as soon as the adjusting transformer (11) has a predetermined transformation ratio.
EFFECT: reduced load and wear of the protective switch for an adjustment transformer.
