FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiolocation and can be used in short-wave radar stations to improve the characteristics of target detection against the backdrop of interference signals "angels". Invention is based on the complexation of long-wave and short-wave radar stations. Detection of targets is carried out by long-wave (for example, meter) radar stations, wherein in the short-wave (decimeter or centimeter) radar station, using the radar information about coordinates and parameters of movement of all targets in one azimuthal resolution element, a high pulse recurrence frequency (PRF) is selected, to maximize the number of detectable targets with zero range shadowing, with no masking of their interference signals "angels"and without range overlapping echo signals of targets. Device implementing the method comprises a first radar station and a second radar station including a radar information receiving and processing device and a pulse recurrence frequency generator, as well as a random access memory, an analysis device, a maximum selection device and a device for calculating the optimal PRF with the corresponding connections.

EFFECT: increased productivity of short-wave radar stations and higher accuracy of measuring angular coordinates of targets against the backdrop of interference reflections from "angels".
