SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CLEARING EXHAUST GASES, AND ALSO VESSEL CONTAINING SUCH SYSTEM, AND ITS USE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F01N3/20 F01N3/02

Abstract RU 2666936 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps; technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: there is provided a system and method for treating the engine exhaust gas (EEG) from engine (3) in which the engine exhaust gas (EEG) has a temperature between T1 and T2. System (1) includes SCR reactor (9) for NOx conversion, contained in medium (M) containing the engine exhaust gas (EEG), in N2 and H2O. SCR reactor (9) has inlet (33) for receiving the medium (M) and an outlet (35) for discharging the medium with a reduced NOx content (M-NOx). System (1) additionally consists of mixing unit (7) and first boiler unit (5). First boiler unit (5) has first outlet (19) for exhausting the exhaust gas of boiler unit (BEG) from first boiler unit (5), in which the exhaust gas of the boiler unit (BEG) has a temperature of more than T3, T3>T1. Mixing unit (7) is capable of mixing the engine exhaust gas (EEG) with the exhaust gas of the boiler unit (BEG) to produce said medium (M). Mixing unit (7) has first inlet (27) communicating with engine (3) for receiving engine exhaust gas (EEG), second inlet (29) communicating with first outlet (19) of first boiler unit (5) for receiving the exhaust gas of the boiler unit (BEG) and outlet (31) for discharging said medium (M). Outlet (31) of mixing unit (7) is connected to inlet (33) of SCR reactor (9). Vessel containing such a system and the use of such a system are also envisaged.

EFFECT: method for processing the exhaust gas of an engine is provided.
