FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method for diagnosing components of the exhaust gas purification system is carried out by electronic controller (12). Method consists in stopping engine (10) to the rest and stopping rotation and generate an output signal from NOx sensor (126), (160) of exhaust gas connected to outlet port (48) at a location upstream from reductant exhaust catalytic converter (152). Impairment of the operation of nozzle (156) for the exhaust gas reducer is determined based on the output signal of (126), (160) NOx sensor of exhaust gases in the supplied gases. Variant of the method for diagnosing the components of the exhaust aftertreatment system and a system for diagnosing components of the exhaust gas purification system are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is prevented deposition of ammonia.
