FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the gravitational drainage of a fluid in a hydrocarbon formation. According to the method, the production well is drilled along the first substantially horizontal productive bed of the deposit. Above the production well, a perforation well is drilled in a layer separated from the production layer by a fluid barrier. Perforate the formation immediately adjacent to the perforation well to create a pathway for moving the fluids to the production layer. In this case, the perforation well is positioned within the fluid barrier or between the upper and lower fluid barriers. Perforation is performed both upward and downward at any location along the perforation well. Stimulate gravity drainage through the fluid flow path and production of fluids collected in the production well.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in drainage efficiency in a layered hydrocarbon reservoir with barriers that impede drainage.
