FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, and namely to foundation construction and can be used at erection of low-rise buildings and structures on weak clay beds. Multi-tier system of sand cushions with closed reinforcement consists of reinforced sandy soil with closed external reinforcement for foundations of shallow laying with support on weak clay grounds. Multi-tier system includes a vertical system, made without increasing the cross-section dimensions of each tier, a system of several sand cushions with a curved sole located at the bottom of the excavation, reinforced on the external contour of geosynthetic material to ensure an even distribution of stresses in a weak base.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the effective arrangement of a foundation of shallow laying on weak clay soils, which allows saving on materials and the production of work, decrease the deformability and increase the bearing capacity of the sand cushion, ensure the leveling of the foundation sediment by using the sole of support of different curvatures.
