FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to foundations of multi-storey buildings erected on heaving soils. The foundation of a multi-storey building erected on heaving soils contains foundation slabs installed on a sand bedding with foundation blocks placed on them, on which brickwork is laid, with floor slabs. At the level of the day surface, on top of the sand bedding, there is a thermal insulation coating on both sides of the foundation, on top of which there is a blind area, and the dimensions of the thermal insulation coating are determined according to the given dependence.
EFFECT: increase of operational reliability of the foundation and elimination of forces of frost heaving.
