FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction and operation of supports of a railway contact system in conditions of permafrost and deep seasonal freezing of heaving soils. Method for securing a metal pile in conditions of permafrost includes covering the pile surface with a shell of a greater diameter to the height of seasonally frozen soil, followed by installing the pile in the pit. Geosynthetic non-woven sheet is installed at the side surfaces of the pit, separating the soil of the pit from the rest of the soil, thereby preventing the entrance of external moisture, and a place for the pile is drilled to the required depth in the pit, followed by putting a shell on the pile, filling the space between the pile and the shell with the non-woven geotextile material, and subsequently impregnating with a freeze-resistant mixture. The pile with a shell is installed in the drilled place in the pit and filled with non-heaving soil.
EFFECT: reduction of the heaving forces acting on the support, increase in the operational life.
