FIELD: technological processes; instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of column apparatus intended for purification of alcohol by distillation. Distillation column comprises a body in the form of a length of pipe, packed contact device 3 disposed inside the housing, an inlet and an outlet for passage of steam through the column, the column structure being a tube in the pipe, pipes 1 and 2 are arranged to form a gap between their walls, with one side of the tube connected to each other, overlapping the annular gap, inner tube 2 is shorter than outer one 1, the opening on the pipe connecting side with each other is the output, packing contact device 3 is located inside inner tube 2, the end of the housing tube opposite the outlet is blocked by plate 4 with holes for steam supply pipes 5 located in the annular gap, for the additional heating of the walls of inner tube 2, the free ends of steam supply tubes 5 and inner tube 2 are disposed offset, overlapping each other along the length of the column, and the other ends of the tubes are fixed in the holes of plate 4, hole being formed in plate 4, in which overflow rod 6 is located, on the outside of plate 4, hiding the protruding end of the rod, cap 7 is installed, in rod 6, holes are provided which, when the liquid in the column reaches a predetermined level, drains it through the inner cavity of cap 7 with slots located above the level of the lower opening of the overflow rod. Method for purification of alcohol carried out by means of a distillation column is that the heated liquid vapor enters the distillation column from the container in its lower part through the tubes in the holes of the plate, further pairs are sent to the top of the column, providing additional heating of the walls of the inner tube to the temperature of the steam, and then down into the space between the tubes and the outer tube. Before passing into the inner tube, alcohol vapors partially condense on the cold wall of the outer tube contacting the outside with the atmosphere, condensed alcohol vapors – reflux, took them to the tank at the bottom of the column through the overflow rod in the overflow cap, preventing them from entering the inner tube of the column. Alcohol vapors that have passed through the primary purification are sent to the inner tube of the column, in which the contact elements are installed, with the help of which they are finalized from the high-boiling fraction of the fusel oils.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the degree of vapor purification by actively heating the walls of the inner tube of the column with alcohol vapors, which eliminates the wall effect, while increasing the rate of alcohol purification.
