FIELD: images forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrophotographic image forming apparatus and a cartridge connected to and detachable from a main part of an apparatus for an image forming apparatus. Claimed group of inventions includes a cartridge attached to and detachable from the main body of the device in the image forming apparatus, and a lid member used for the cartridge to be attached to and detachable from the body of the device in the image forming apparatus. And the cartridge contains: rotatable developer transfer member and a developing container configured to support the developer transfer member, developing container having a first end in the direction of the rotation axis of the developer transfer member and a second end opposite to the first end in the direction of the rotation axis, wherein the developing container includes a first positioning portion and a rotation stop portion that are provided at the first end and configured to be guided by the guide of the main body of the device when the cartridge is attached to the main body of the device, wherein the first positioning portion is configured to position the developing container with respect to the main body of the device in a direction intersecting the direction of the rotation axis, and the developing container also includes a second positioning portion provided at its first end and configured to contact the guide and position the developing container with respect to the main part of the device in the direction of the rotation axis, wherein in the state in which the cartridge is attached to the main body of the device when the lateral positioning region is determined by a width having one end at a point at which the rotation stop portion contacts the guide, and the other end at a point at which the first positioning portion contacts the guide in the cartridge attaching direction, and a height that is the width of the rail at a point at which a part of the rotation stop contacts the rail or the point at which the first positioning part contacts the rail in a direction orthogonal to the direction of attachment, second positioning part overlaps the transverse positioning region when viewed in the direction of the rotation axis, wherein the second positioning portion includes a positioning surface configured to contact the guide so as to control the movement of the developing container in a direction from its first end to its second end in the direction of the rotation axis.

EFFECT: increased usability, possibility of maintenance of the image forming apparatus without a technical expert is provided.
