FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a detection agent for detecting an antibody specific to an HCV core protein, wherein said detection agent can specifically bind to said antibody specific to the HCV core protein. Said detection agent includes a peptide which comprises a region of a first epitope, a region of a second epitope, and a linker located between said region of the first epitope and said region of the second epitope. Also disclosed is a method for detecting the presence or absence of HCV in a biological sample using said detection agent. Invention also relates to a kit for detecting HCV in a subject comprising said detection agent.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively detect HCV in a sample before or after seroconversion, making the method detecting and diagnosing HCV reliable.
