FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for linearly moving a support surface unit under a patient support surface. Device for linearly moving a patient support surface comprises a stationary column head unit, a support surface unit which can be moved relative to the column head unit in a linear manner and to which the patient support surface can be secured, and a hydraulic cylinder for moving the support surface unit relative to the column head unit. First gear rack is attached to the column head unit. Second gear rack is attached to the support surface unit. Gear arrangement is provided on the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder. Gear arrangement engages with the first and the second gear rack such that the gear arrangement rolls on both the first and second gear rack when the hydraulic cylinder is actuated.
EFFECT: simplification of the design with reduction of its overall dimensions.
