FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended the weapons stabilizer (AS) parameters automatic measurement (determination) and correction problems solving, determining its drives damping degree, namely the number of over-travels and the first overtravel value. Claimed method of the weapons stabilizer parameters automatic correction consists in successive angular deviations with the maximum permissible velocities, respectively, of the weapon (gun) and the turret of the weapon piece with abrupt stops and measurements (determinations) of the vertical and horizontal aiming drives damping parameters, namely the number of over-travels, and the first over-travel oscillations amplitudes occurring during the stops. Wherein for the weapon stabilizer vertical and horizontal guidance damping parameters measuring (determining), as the angle sensor, allowing to simultaneously measure the angular deviations in the vertical and horizontal planes, digital video camera (hereinafter referred to as camera) is used, stationary preset on the weapon muzzle (gun barrel channel) on its external or internal side, executed so, that the weapon axis of symmetry and the camera lens optical axis were parallel, and its lens optical center was at the weapon (gun) muzzle channel level.

EFFECT: increase in the weapon piece WS FCS guidance drives damping degree measuring and correction accuracy and reduction of time spent.
