FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions refers to means for measuring the dimensions of a controlled object. Apparatus for measuring the size of the object comprises depth sensor (2), sensor bracket (1), correction device (5), object platform (4), and computer (3). Hardware correction device (5) is used to provide correction to the plane of depth sensor (2), comprises a mesh or printed material having a black and white chess board texture and comprises a transparent flat plate, wherein the mesh or printed material is applied to platform (4) to accommodate the object and the transparent flat plate is pressed against the mesh or printed material. Depth sensor (2) is located on sensor bracket (1) and is located in the space above platform (4) to accommodate the object. Computer (3) is connected to sensor (2). In addition, a method and apparatus for measuring object dimensions are disclosed.
EFFECT: device and method provide an efficient and accurate calculation of the dimensions of the object.
