SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for treating biomass for the production, in particular biofuel. Method for moving a lignocellulosic feedstock from a low pressure zone to a high pressure zone is characterized by obtaining a suspension of lignocellulosic feedstock, which is then subjected to a multistage fluid removal process involving gravity wringing by a minimum of one part of the free liquid, removing the first portion of the capillary fluid in the low pressure zone by continuously compressing the lignocellulosic feed stream to achieve a moisture content in the first predetermined range, removing the second part of the capillary fluid by cutting and compressing the lignocellulosic flow in a plug forming apparatus for forming a lignocellulosic raw plug, having a moisture content in a second predetermined range at the outlet portion of the plug forming device connected to the high pressure zone. When the first portion of the capillary liquid is removed, at least one first compression device continuously compresses the flow of the squeezed lignocellulosic feedstock to a first control pressure, while simultaneously feeding the flow of the pressed lignocellulosic feedstock in the direction of flow of the belt filter press. Subsequently, the lignocellulosic raw material is hydrothermally treated in the presence of water in the liquid or vapor phase or a mixture thereof at a hydrothermal treatment temperature in the range of 160 °C to 250 °C during the time of hydrothermal treatment in the range of 10 seconds to 2 hours to obtain a pretreated lignocellulosic feedstock.
EFFECT: improvement of liquid drainage, elimination of clogging and optimization of raw material processing processes.
