METHOD FOR PROCESSING PLUMULACEOUS FEATHER AND KERATIN-CONTAINING RAW MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A23K10/26 A23K50/00

Abstract RU 2683560 C1

FIELD: fodder production.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to fodder production, in particular, to a method for processing plumulaceous feather and keratin-containing raw materials. Method comprises compaction of raw materials, heating, hydrolysis and grinding. Plumulaceous feather and keratin-containing raw materials are continuously fed into a screw charger, in which free moisture is separated from the raw material by pressing to a moisture content of 35–45 %, after which the pressed raw material is transferred into the cavity of twin screws, in the central part of which the raw material sealing cones are mounted, in front of which pressure from 1.0 MPa to 20.0 MPa is created by rotating the screws, by means of pressure the raw material is pressed to form a dense cold plug without heating. After passing through the cones, the compacted raw materials are further loosened by screws and heated to a temperature of 180–260 °C and hydrolyzed. In the process of pressing, compaction, heating and hydrolysis of the raw material, it is ground by rotating screws. After leaving the cavity of the screws the raw material is cooled by unloading into the receiving aired chamber.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides a fodder product with high digestibility, as well as reduces energy costs.
