METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF FEED PROTEIN FLOUR FROM FEATHER-DOWN AND KERATIN CONTAINING RAW MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A23K10/26

Abstract RU 2684773 C1

FIELD: feed industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to fodder production, in particular, to a method of the production of protein flour from feather-down raw materials. Method is characterised in that, it comprises the feather-down raw material is fed into the loading device of a screw sectional installation, in which the raw material is pressed to a moisture content of 35–45 %. Pressed raw material enters the work area of the screw, where further compaction is carried out until a raw compaction (cork) is formed by reducing the flow area of the screw installation and creating pressure from 1 MPa to 20 MPa. After that, the raw material is fed to the second working section of the screws, where it is loosened by a part of the turns of screws reduced in diameter, mix and grind at a temperature of 180–260 °C to obtain a finely divided mass similar to a dough with inclusions of individual fibers, then vacuum action is performed every 10–60 s to obtain a product with a moisture content of 8–12 %. Moreover, the reduction of the flow area of the screw installation for compaction of raw material is carried out using truncated cones mounted on each screw in the place of receiving the compaction of raw materials, directed by large bases towards the output of the raw materials.

EFFECT: using of the invention allows to obtain a product with increased digestibility, as well as reduce energy costs.
