SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used to treat periodontal diseases. Perform anesthesia. Alveolar process of the patient's jaw is insulated with cotton swabs from the saliva. Enter electrode in the periodontal pocket. Size of the electrode corresponds to the size of the pocket. Tension is applied and the granulation tissue is coagulated for 2–3 seconds before the appearance of the odor of the coagulation tissue at a current density of 15–20 mA/mm². Electrode is made in the form of a metal rod containing the fastening part with the possibility of fixing it in the electrode holder. Working part of the electrode is located at an angle to the fastening part. Dimensions of the working part correspond to the dimensions of the periodontal pocket, which are affected. Between fixing and working part on the metal rod is installed an insulating tube. Side of the working part of the electrode, facing the root of the tooth, is covered with an insulating varnish with the ability to prevent reaction from the tooth. Other side of the electrode has notches arranged in succession at a distance of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 mm from the distal edge of the working part with the ability to control the immersion of the electrode in the periodontal pocket.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides increase in effectiveness of treatment of periodontitis by providing one-stage coagulation of granulation tissue in the periodontal pocket throughout its entire length and depth, reduction of the time of electric shock to the patient.
