SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, specifically to a method for reducing the formation of scar tissue, which comprises: topical application of a biophotonic composition in the form of a gel with a viscosity of 10000-80000 cP, containing a xanthene dye and a gelling agent, wherein the gelling agent is selected from cross-linked polymers; and illuminating the composition with actinic light.
EFFECT: invention provides a biophotonic composition with actual resistance to the release of the chromophore from the biophotonic composition.
