FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a screw element and is intended for reducing the weight of the screw and absorbing vertical forces from a drive mechanism. Screw element comprises a shank having a thread and a head connected to the shank. Head has a tool engagement portion which has six corner domes arranged evenly in the peripheral direction of the head and having respective flanks, which provide a rigid connection between the head and the hexagon head of the tool for tightening the screw element, wherein corresponding grooves are arranged circumferentially between the corner domes which extend into the respective grooves by means of a corresponding concave support surface. Faces of the corner domes are rounded at least in part with radius (R). Faces of the corresponding radius (R) are concavely configured.
EFFECT: screw element with a tool engagement portion is disclosed.
