FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to recover copper in the presence of other metals from the production solutions of sulphate leaching by extraction with an organic reagent. As an organic reagent, a solution of hydrazides of the α-branched tertiary carboxylic acids of the fraction with an average molecular weight is used 280–290 amu (GVIC 1519) of general formula (1), where R1, R2, R3 – alkyl radicals, and the sum of carbon atoms is 15–19, in a hydrocarbon solvent or in its mixture with modifiers: 2-ethylhexanol or alkylphenol.
.
EFFECT: high degree and selectivity of extraction of copper (II) from sulfuric acid media with pH<1 in the presence of nickel (II), cobalt (II), iron (III), zinc (II), decrease in extractant losses associated with entrainment with the aqueous phase, increase resistance to hydrolysis and oxidation.
