Modular electrical device (10) comprises substantially box-shaped housing (11) comprising first connecting side wall (13) and second side wall opposite first side wall (12). Connecting elements (17, 18) comprise at least one resiliently bending connecting tooth (17) protruding from first side wall (12) and adapted to selectively assume a connected position, in which the tooth (17) is not resiliently loaded, and a disconnected position in which the tooth is deflected and resiliently loaded relative to the connected position. Modular electrical device (10) comprises retaining elements configured to retain connecting tooth (17) in a disconnected position and release it.
