FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, operating from the action of gas or liquid. Object of the invention is to expand the functionality of the membrane drives by changing the effective area of the membranes by controlling the flexural compliance of the rigid center. Assigned task is achieved due to the fact that in a membrane drive comprising a membrane with a rigid center connected to the rod, the rigid center is made of an elastic shell forming a sealed chamber. Sealed chamber can be connected to an overpressure pneumatic line in order to use the existing pneumolinear drive power supply. Sealed chamber can be filled with loose material and is connected to the pneumonia of air rarefaction, increasing the stiffness characteristics of the center. Sealed chamber can be filled with an electrorheological suspension and a solid filler, and also electrodes are installed in it, the supply circuit of which is connected to a current source, which allows the use of power for control.
EFFECT: proposed device extends the functionality of the membrane drive by changing the effective area of the membranes by controlling the flexural compliance of the rigid center.
