FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to moulds for making decorative coatings, as well as to an apparatus for making such decorative coatings. Mould for making decorative coatings obtained from composite liquid mixtures comprises a base plate, a die and a moulding grid. Base plate is made of a rigid non-deformable material and has through holes. Die is made from a resilient deformable material and is configured for incorporating the base plate therein. On the upper surface of the die there is a large number of shapes of the front surface in negative of each decorative coating to be made. Moulding grid is open at the upper part and is made from a rigid non-deformable material and is configured for pressure to be applied above the die. Moulding grid has side walls which define the perimeter edges of each decorative coating to be made. Die keeps a stable non-deformable shape when the base plate is incorporated inside said die. Said base plate and die form a first half of the mould, which can be separated from the second half of the mould made up of the moulding grid. Between the side walls of the moulding grid, separate bowls are formed for containing a single decorative coating. Each side wall is inclined at an acute angle (α) with respect to a vertical plane, so as to confer to each side wall a sharp-pointed and tapered shape from top towards bottom with respect to the entire mould for facilitating the extraction of the finished decorative coatings from said mould. Method comprises pouring a liquid cement mixture into separate bowls of the mould. Mould is vibrated. Moulding grid is separated from the assembly consisting of the base plate and the die once the decorative coatings reach the required degree of drying. Dried decorative coatings are separated from said assembly. Mould is restored by fixing the moulding grid to said assembly.

EFFECT: technical result is higher wear resistance of the mould and precision of manufacturing the products.
