SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of arts and crafts, namely, to the method of manufacturing a decorative panel. Method consists in formation of a relief image on the face of the foamed polystyrene plate. Removal of the plate material on the face of the plate in accordance with the image pattern is carried out by chemical etching of the plate structure using a large-format printed plotter by metered application of the solvent composition to the surface areas of the plate to be removed by dissolving to produce grooves with a depth directly proportional to the volume of the dose of the solvent composition to be delivered to the site to be removed. Then, drying and evaporation of the residual solvent composition with the chemical etched surface of the board is carried out. After this, priming of the face of the plate is carried out for the subsequent after drying of the primer coating layer of the enamel coating, which is a composition based on ethylene-vinyl acetate dispersion with the subsequent application to the front surface of a large-format plotter of a paint coating based on aqueous, latex, solvent pigmented or sublimation ink, followed by drying, for applying over the protective lacquer coating.

EFFECT: increase in the strength properties of large-format panels and strengthen the relief pattern by using chemical etching of the plate and subsequent coating it with different compositions.
