SUBSTANCE: invention relates to scanning means for controlling self-propelled vehicles. System includes a source of radiation with a high penetrating power with a collimator, a radiation source control device, a portal with consoles and radiation detectors installed on them and located on the side of the portal opposite to the source of radiation, an electronic path for generating and collecting signals from detectors, and a shadow image forming unit connected to it, the radiation source control device is made using laser scanners. And one of the scanners is located from the radiation zone at a distance not less than the length of the maximum allowed size of the inspected object in the direction of its movement, and with the scanning of the beam in the horizontal plane, and another scanner with a beam scan in a vertical plane located at a distance of at least two meters to the portal in front of the radiation source in the course of the movement of the object.

EFFECT: increased security and throughput of the system is achieved.
