FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: use: for inspection of vehicles. Essence of invention consists in the fact that with system of inspection of vehicles moving with their own motion, including those in cargo, passengers and driver, comprises a radiation source with high penetrating power with a collimator, a radiation source control device, a portal with cantilevers and radiation detectors installed on them and located on the side of the portal opposite to the radiation source, an electronic channel for generating and collecting signals from detectors, and associated with it shadow image forming device, radiation source control device is made using laser scanners, one of which is located from the radiation area at a distance not less than the maximum allowable portal length of the inspected object in the direction of its movement and with the beam scanning in the horizontal plane, the other laser scanner is placed in close proximity to the radiation area and with beam scanning in vertical plane connected to laser scanners of position controller of inspected object in relation to irradiation zone, determination of part of inspected object not subject to irradiation, wherein radiation source with lower penetrating ability with mechanical scanning of radiation beam in vertical and detecting system of back scattered radiation is installed in front of portal with cantilevers along the motion of inspected object.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of high performance of inspection complex for a wide range of cargo vehicles, wider inspection area of inspected objects, including cargo, driver's cabin, passengers, high information content of inspected objects, as well as high reliability of inspection due to higher degree of detail images of cargo.
