SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fastening sockets for thin-walled parts of a motor vehicle. Rivet nut for a vehicle component comprises a sleeve and a head. Sleeve comprises a side wall having a threaded section and a deformation section that is thinner than the threaded section. Head is attached to the sleeve at the end of the deformation section and comprises a channel recessed into the head surface interacting with the part around the perimeter of the sleeve, channel comprising an outer wall that is parallel to the side wall, inner wall formed by the outer surface of the sleeve, and a base surface attached between the inner and outer walls.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the reliability of joining thin-walled parts.
