FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information security of digital communication systems, namely, to masking a structure of a communication network. In the method of masking a structure of a communication network, initial data including subscribers of the communication network and communication lines between them, aggregate of IP-addresses of senders and recipients of message packets, database for storage IP-addresses intended for true exchange between senders and recipients for each of the subscribers of the communication network, storage base of IP-addresses intended for false exchange between senders and recipients for each of the subscribers of the communication network, the value of the counter of a number of transmitted false message packets. Connectivity matrixes of false and true exchange are formed and exchange of packets of messages between subscribers of the communication network is started. Intensity of false packets of messages, taking into account the priorities, creates sufficient contrast against the background of general traffic of a communication network for detection by a hacker, which is why the concealment of the communication network is achieved with imposition of false ideas on the structure of the communication network to the hacker.

EFFECT: technical result is higher effectiveness of masking the original structure of a communication network.
