SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of information security of communication systems. In the method, the value of the weighting coefficient we of each information direction e is calculated, then an arbitrary replacement communication node is selected to simulate a communication node of the highest rank r, the information direction eT is selected by the minimum value of the weighting coefficient we adjacent to the selected replacement communication node xT and eT is stored in the memory array [T], then the minimum weight we information direction eT adjacent to ET is selected and eT is stored in the memory array [T], the similarity coefficient KCX of the masking exchange network structure ET with the simulated communication network structure is calculated, next, the similarity coefficient Cs of the network structure of the masking exchange ET is compared with the preset required value of CsReq, if Cs< CsReq, then an arbitrary information direction is added to ET, if Cs> CsReq, then the number of s information directions in ET is stored in [S], then the intensity of masking traffic λem of each information direction in the network structure of the masking exchange ET is calculated.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness of masking the structure of the communication network by synthesizing the structure of the masking exchange network and calculating the quantitative values of the masking traffic intensity indicator in several information directions.
