FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology, physiotherapy, and can be used in the treatment of patients with auditory tube pathology and acute otitis media. Developed catheter contains an end connecting element and a curved silicone tube with a first bend and with a second bend. And the second bend is made under the drum cavity of the left ear or under the drum cavity of the right ear and is located at a distance of 10 mm from the first bend in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the first bend. Catheter is also provided with a reinforced tube positioned on the proximal part of the curved tube and an inner elastic balloon installed in the distal part of the curved tube, the first and second bends being made at angles of 25°, and the inner elastic balloon is provided with a pipe length of at least 180 mm for connection to a source of excess pressure. Curved tube is provided with a silicone thickening located on the distal part of the curved tube, the thickening being made with an external surface under the mouth of the auditory tube and has a length of 15–25 mm and a height of 2.5–3.5 mm.
EFFECT: developed catheter provides the creation of an isolated vacuum cavity for treatment by the method of moving liquids, introducing antiseptics into the tympanic cavity and washing the drum cavity.
