FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of liquid crystal displays. LED light source includes a gain circuit, a current control module, a voltage detection circuit and a backlight control circuit. Amplification circuit raises the input voltage to the operating voltage of the LED string. Current monitor module is connected to the negative terminal of the LED line to adjust the operating current of the LED line. Voltage detection circuit detects whether the input voltage has decreased, and provides control signals for the backlight control circuit if it is determined that the input voltage has decreased. Backlight control circuit is configured to provide a first meander for the gain circuit to increase the voltage, providing a second meander for the current monitoring module to adjust the current and to reduce the input current when receiving control signals from the voltage detection circuit.
EFFECT: technical result is to protect the electrical components from damage by a stepwise increase in the input current.
