Image acquisition method comprises steps of: detecting, by a terminal, transmission of a screenshot capturing signal, wherein during determination, it is determined that a smart home application currently running under the user account is in the execution state; sending, via the terminal, a request to the server to perform screenshot capturing, wherein the request comprises information about the user account used to log in at the current time, and identification information of the target smart device to enable to send the request to perform screenshot capturing from the server to the target smart device; and receiving, via the terminal, a screenshot sent from the server and obtained using the target smart device to capture a snapshot of the image currently displayed on the screen.
