SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment control systems. Method of controlling equipment includes acquiring model identification information of the equipment to be controlled, acquiring a control interface for controlling equipment of the given type and given manufacturer according to the model identification information and controlling equipment to be controlled via the control interface. Model identification information is used to identify the manufacturer and the type of equipment selected for control. Acquisition of the model identification information of the equipment to be controlled comprises sending to the server a request containing user account information, receiving information about the equipment transmitted by the server and acquiring model identification information of the equipment to be controlled, selected by the user from a list of equipment. Equipment information comprises model identification information of equipment associated with the user account. List of equipment is used to display the received equipment information.
