FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the welding industry, in particular to methods for capturing a solid component of the welding aerosol. Method of sampling for subsequent SCWA analysis includes ignition of the welding arc and trapping of the SCWA particles using a carbon scotch tablet, which at the end of the welding process is placed in a container for subsequent analysis. Preliminary, the scotch tape is perforated in the central part, fixed in the sampling device between the flanges of the holder and the transport tube. Sampling device is installed inside the cavity of the welder mask in the breathing zone, and then by means of a pump connected to the transport tube, create a region of reduced pressure with the formation of a directed airflow from the welder's breath zone, catching the SCWA particles on the sticky surface of the perforated tablet.

EFFECT: increase the reliability and informativeness of the method by ensuring the sampling of air directly from the working zone of the welder's breath.
