FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for aspiration of dry aerosol and is intended for use in ventilation technology of electric welding work. Device for capturing the welding aerosol during manual electric welding of metal contains a dust and gas receiver made in the form of a tube fixed together with an electrode in the electrode holder with a working handle through which the cavity of the holder is connected to a flexible hose. New is that the tube is fireproof and made of metal with a high melting point. At the end of the tube, a perforated double-sided carbon scotch is used, used as a material for sampling. Tube is spaced from the electrode by a distance of 10–20 mm, and the length of the tube is smaller than the length of the electrode by 30–40 mm.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of efficient selection of aerosol samples of various electrode coatings when the arc is ignited with a minimum duration of selection and energy consumption, which significantly expands the technological capabilities of the device.
