FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used to supply current to the ultrasonic frequency of induction heaters, acoustic radiators or other inductive-resistive loads located inside oil wells. Method of generating a signal based on a half-bridge converter is proposed, the diagonal of which includes an oscillatory circuit of a series-connected capacitor and an inductive-resistive load. Method is based on alternating commutation of half-bridge power transistors, as a result of which the DC energy coming from the ground source of power is converted into quasi-harmonic current oscillations in the load. Switching of the keys occurs in a close neighborhood of the moment of the load current transition through 0: the opening of one – on the eve of the transition, the closure of the other – after it. Controlling the frequency of the output current required for loads in the form of an acoustic wave generator is accomplished by changing the total inductance of the converter's power oscillatory circuit.

EFFECT: guaranteed time lag between active conversion phases is maintained unchanged, minimally necessary for reliable operation of power switches, this allows to provide the maximum power mode of the useful signal while maintaining high efficiency and moderate requirements to the elements of the power circuit of the converter.
