SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used in open field development during drilling and blasting operations (DBO), in particular in quarries. Method of conducting drilling and blasting operations at the quarry includes drilling of blast holes, charging them with charges of explosives, blasting explosives. From the work platform of the drill, auxiliary vertical wells are drilled to the level of the bottom of the ledge. Explosive wells are drilled from the walls of auxiliary vertical wells along their height from top to bottom, executing them with a slope to the horizon and not bringing down the wells to the surface of the slope of the ledge. Auxiliary vertical wells are filled with an inert material.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the DBO and to expand the technological capabilities.
