FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a process for the production of divinyl by converting an oxygen-containing organic material at an elevated temperature in the presence of a catalyst comprising zinc oxide ZnO, potassium oxide K2O, magnesium oxide MgO and γ-aluminium oxide γ-Al2O3, characterized in that DME dimethyl ether is used as an organic substance or a mixture of DME and methanol, or a mixture of DME with methanol and water using a diluent at a molar ratio of diluent : an oxygen-containing organic substance = 0–10:1, using nitrogen or synthesis gas or steam as a diluent, the conversion is carried out at a temperature of 370–420 °C in the presence of a pre-activated catalyst of the following composition, wt. %: ZnO – 20–24; MgO – 4–6; K2O – 0.15–0.30; γ-Al2O3 – rest.
EFFECT: expansion of the raw material base for divinyl production, use of dimethyl ether, produced from alternative sources of carbon-containing raw materials, for petrochemical synthesis.
