Broadcast receiving apparatus and method for summarized content service is proposed, comprises the steps of: receiving content; analysis of at least one of video and audio data included in the content, and detecting at least one segment with an event corresponding to a predetermined condition; and generating a summarized content based on the at least one detected segment with the event. Respectively, the broadcast receiving apparatus can form a summarized content regarding the content requested by the user.

EFFECT: technical result is to provide a summarized content service for reproducing at least one of the content reproduced by the broadcast receiving apparatus and the summarized content.
