SUBSTANCE: current block motion vector prediction method contains the steps of: definition of jointly hosted image; when one of a reference image of jointly hosted block and a reference image of current block is a lasting reference image, a motion vector of jointly hosted block is defined as unavailable; when a reference image of jointly hosted block and a reference image of current block represent a lasting reference image, temporary motion vector prediction version is obtained without scaling a motion vector of jointly hostede block; taking prediction information of a possible version of block which is joined with a current block; definition motion vector predictor for a current block from number of possible motion vector prediction versions; forming of motion vector of a current block using a motion vector predictor.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of motion vector prediction.
