FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of joint compensation of reactive power, suppression of harmonic currents and balancing of the railroad traction load currents, the instantaneous values of the currents are measured in the wires; in the wires of two phases of the trolley system, connected to the windings of a three-phase delta-connected transformer, after the current measurement points, the generated currents opposite to the distortion currents are cut into the wires cut in parallel to those of the three-phase transformer windings connected in a triangle to which the phases of the contact network are connected. Next, the currents in the wires of the phases of the contact network are measured at points, after the points of current feed that suppress the distortion currents, complex values of three additional currents relative to the base voltage for the current half-period of the first harmonic, over which sinusoidal instantaneous currents are formed, which are fed in the next period of the fundamental frequency into a cut of the wires connected in parallel to the three windings of the three-phase transformer connected in a triangle. For a power supply scheme for an asymmetric non-sinusoidal traction load of AC railway from a three-phase network, a series of calculations were carried out.
EFFECT: values of design instantaneous compensating currents created by current sources with reactive elements that in all modes provide sinusoidal, symmetrical and purely active three-phase currents of tractive load relative to the mains are obtained.
