FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the short-circuit spot on long multi-chain electric transmission air-lines with distributed voltage parameters of 110 kV and higher with lightning protection cables grounded on the anchor poles, based on the measurement of the emergency mode parameters from the two ends of the line. Method of determining the short-circuit spot on a multi-chain with earth-wires grounded on anchor supports, a three-phase electric transmission air-line with distributed parameters according to measurements at its two ends, connecting two feeding systems, in which the complex phase currents of the circuits unsynchronized at the corners and circuit phase voltage of the main frequency are measured from two ends of the line at the moment of short circuit, the value of the distance to the short-circuit spot is determined by calculation, at that, a line module in the form of sections longitudinal and transverse parameters values of the N-chain line replacement scheme with cables in three-phase form. Further, from the values of the complex phase circuits voltages, the modules are extracted, along which the graphs with two axes of the phase voltage modules dependence on the area number are constructed, the graphs intersection point corresponds to the short-circuit point, and the phase of the circuit in which the voltage at the graphs intersection point is minimal, is considered damaged.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the short-circuit location by complete record-keeping of the longitudinal and transverse parameters of a multi-wire power line with cables grounded on the anchor supports, while using unsynchronized measurements at the ends of the line.
