FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of forming nanocomposite materials with predetermined properties, which can be used as an element of the technological process in 3D printing by the method of layer-by-layer fusing. Preparation of a nanocomposite material involves preparing a mixture of ABS plastic and nanoparticles and then extruding it. Preparation process involves sequential grinding of ABS plastic in a ball mill, introducing into the obtained dry mixture of nanoparticles and mixing until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Extruding the resulting mixture is carried out in a single-screw extruder at a temperature of 230–260 °C. Modified material is fed to a 3D printer where printing takes place.
EFFECT: application for grinding an ABS plastic ball mill and performing extrusion at an elevated temperature leads to a significant reduction in the cohesion of nanoparticles and consequently provides a more uniform composition of the nanocomposite.
