FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of metallized articles from concrete and can be used in the building materials industry. Method of metallization of articles from concrete comprises plasma spraying of non-ferrous metals onto the front surface of concrete articles using a plasma jet and quality control of finished articles. Mixture of liquid glass and technical alumina at optimum mass ratio of 1:3–4, respectively, is preliminarily applied to the front surface of concrete before spraying a non-ferrous metal powder. Plasma spraying is performed at a plasma torch flow rate of 0.30–0.35 m/s and a non-ferrous metal flow rate of 2.5–3.0 g/s.
EFFECT: increased strength of adhesion of the metal layer to the base of a concrete article and increased index of frost resistance.
